2 Narcotics Smugglers Executed in Dammam

Dammam, Jumada I 05, 1439, January 22, 2018, SPA -- The Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued today that Smugglers Zakaria bin Saeed bin Saeed Al Freij and Hussain bin Ahmed bin Hamza Al-Hawaishel were executed in Dammam of the Eastern Region today for smuggling quantities of cannabis and banned amphetamine pills into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry said that the General Court convicted the smugglers; Appeal and Supreme Courts endorsed the sentence, and a royal order was issued to execute the sentence.
The Ministry of Interior affirms that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen on combating narcotics due to their great harm to individuals and the society, warning anyone who tries to commit such actions to be punished according to Sharia.
